Hope for the Village Child

HVCF is a Non-Governmental Organisation and a partner of Hope for the African Village Child (HAVC) with a VISION of liberated rural communities whose leaders inspire them to cooperate with each other in meeting their basic needs through education, self-reliance and support from the government.

We have been active in over 50 communities (villages) in Chikun, Igabi and Kajuru Local Government of Kaduna State.

What we do

As an organization, we operate on the principle that all people have a right to share in the goods of the earth as well as a duty to be mindful of those less fortunate.

Story of Change

• To improve health care through roving clinics, immunisation, health education, antenatal care and HIV/AIDS awareness and care.
• To alleviate suffering and poverty by promoting capacity building and income generating projects.
• To increase food supply through improved agricultural practice.
• To provide clean drinking water by assisting with community wells.
• To work towards self-sustainability through self-reliance, community empowerment and mobilization
• To promote healthy relationships in communities through service to all.
